What do I know about kids & family? Until 5 years ago or so, absolutely nothing! Since then, however, I like to pride myself in being a highly informed stay-at-home mom of three little ones (ages 1-5, going on 16) and a great homemaker. Not exactly the Mrs. Cleaver type mind you (although I think I've already encountered a little Eddie Haskell in the make), but someone who does her research and makes good decisions about what to buy and use for her family.
We've run the gamut of baby equipment, toys & gadgets and were the parents who had to have the "latest and greatest" of everything. In doing so, it's no understatement that we went a wee bit overboard and currently have enough books & toys in our family room to start our own preschool!
I read everything I can get my hands on about kids & families matters and continually enroll in classes on how to become a better parent. In doing so, it's inspired the desire in me to go back to graduate school to pursue a career in counseling. Now, if I can only find the time and energy with my toddler and two preschoolers who accept nothing less than "my every waking moment and then some!"
I'm a Georgia Tech graduate, who is originally from the Southeast. I was implanted to the Pacific Northwest three years ago via my husband's new corporate venture and his desire to "get back home." I since love this part of the country and can only describe its beauty as something you'd see in a Chevrolet commercial!
I have zero tolerance for prejudice, dishonesty, plagiarism, profanity and the like on this site and elsewhere. I write and rate reviews with the highest integrity. I expect the same from other members.
