Just a short note here to mention something I want to say about the film reviews I have written. All of them are based on having seen the film in a theatre, projected up high there on the screen in a darkened theatre. No remote control in my hand to pause the film while I attend to something else. While I enjoy watching films on television just fine, my sense of fairness regarding this medium, and my love for it, dictate that I express criticism and opinions of a film based on how it was meant to be ideally viewed. That's with a theatrically designed sound speaker system; seeing the full frame, not an amputated version with 1.33 to 1 aspect ratio; without commercial interruption or my own ability to pause the proceedings; looking up at the screen not down; watching film on a screen not pixels behind a glass covering on a TV screen; etc. I'm a little bit nuts that way I guess.
