About blueskydestine
OK, OK!! Give me time I'll write something creative soon! How’s this for starters: I live in one of the many and beautiful river valleys in New England. Ah yes, New England where the weatherman predicts sunshine and 60 degree and you wake to snow and 30 degrees. Those of us who love living here are here, in part for the unpredictability of it all. There’s also the beauty – mountains and rolling hills, rivers, lakes, forests, cities, and even the ocean all seem to blend together with the seasons to offer infinite variety. My family and I enjoy a number of outdoor activities such as running, cycling, camping, skiing, roller-blading, etc., etc., etc. Hmmmm… actually, I’m the only one who runs and roller-blades. Oh yes, I have a wonderful family, did I mention that? Now on to me, Me, ME!!! All right, I have it under control – at least I think I do! I have a very diverse background and am self-taught on a number of subjects. The bottom line is that I love to learn and pass on what I learn. Beyond all the outdoorsy stuff, here are some of my other skills and interests (deliberately mixed for the fun of it): Marketing, bicycle repair, public relations, carpentry, photography, welding, pen and ink illustration, plumbing, writing?, home electrical, database design, gardening, personal computers, reporting, auto repair, web site design, cooking, internet researching, reading, eating… help me out here I know there’s tons more. I’ve been paid for each and every one – does that mean I’m a “professional”? Oooops, I take that back! I’ve never been paid for eating or cooking, at least not yet. I’ve worked in a variety of industries including aerospace manufacturing, building construction, laboratory equipment, radio news, computer software sales, personnel services, office cleaning, printing, graphic design, retail and a variety of non-profit organizations as a volunteer. Did I hear you ask how old I was? My wife says I’m 2 sometimes, but here a hint: my first computer was a Commodore 64. I actually hooked it to a Smith Corona typewriter and was the only person in college with his/her own personal word-processing system. That’s right I’m 27 - aren’t we all? lol More to follow… Regarding my favorite websites, I have a love hate relationship with ebay. Right now we're ready for a divorce! lol
