I'm a retired medical transcriptionist, mother of two grown sons. My oldest is a singer/songwriter and has a band of regional fame (Jason Swain and Atlantic Crossing). My youngest, Chris, runs the used bookstore my husband (The Bookman) owns in nearby Franklin, Virginia. We live out in the countryside near Carrsville, VA, still in the Tidewater area of Virginia. A devastating house fire (but no one was hurt!) pushed us out of our big old-timey home in Suffolk a couple years ago, and no we have not fully recovered. I had to relocate my beloved dachshund, Oscar, due to his getting a little nippy with strangers and even children, so our only pet at present is a cat we rescued last year from the wheel well of a car (his name is "Wheelie", not that he ever deigns to answer to it!) I suffer multiple disabilities, most of which are pretty stable these days. Unfortunately, one of my biggest problems is my sight. Since I was told I'd go blind long before now, I'm thankful for every day I can see. But I do not see well enough to read from the computer for more than a few lines at a time. So please be patient with me getting around to reading your reviews. I do try, but honestly it is very difficult. (Being a "touch-typist of around 120 wpm, it's MUCH easier for me to type a review than read one!) Love to all my friends, and like Kath says (and our local radio hero), "Make it a great day!"
