About boogie-oogie

I chose the pen name boogie-oogie because it sounded quaint. Toyota was using it to christen one of their electric cars. (Actually, the car was coined “boogie-oogie-oogie”. But for a username that was W-A-Y to long.) Only afterwards would I find out about its horrific origin...
In the 1970s, under the shimmering light of a disco ball, people like my parents “boogie-oogie-oogied” the night away. :)
