I was born in '65. I love outdoor activities including hiking, bicycling, and traditional archery. I am a sometimes runner. I love boating on flatwater or rivers but only with non-motorized craft from canoes to sea and whitewater kayaks to duckies and rowboats. I am an old carbide caver and former rock climber. I guess you could say I prefer old school and a more naturalistic approach to the outdoors.

I am also a single dad and an Air Force officer and aviator. I have fun with my kids ages 8-17 and I am by-necessity pretty domestic. I also love music, movies, books and some boardgames (particularly chess). I am engaged to a cool single mom who is an artist and schoolteacher.

I love good food and drink. I occasionally smoke a pipe. I was somewhat active on this site, took 3 years off, but am going to start dabbling again.
