About brillat

As a recent transplant from New Jersey, I've heard the knock on Southern Californians regarding their egocentric reputations. Mainstream media paint us as isolated cliques unconcerned about each other's welfare. New Yorkers and their immediate neighbors are painted by the same brushes as rude and uncaring. Living there, I had seen beyond this facade in times of flood, fire, and similar tragedy.
I am proud to see my former neighbors from the east showing their true colors on the world stage. I am likewise proud of my new neighbors, my fellow Californians, with their unrestrained willingness to share the nation's burden in a most selfless fashion. The isolated, aloof Californians
aiding and comforting the rude, profane New Yorkers. This is a very proud moment that I will treasure always, and I vow to bore future generations with its remembrance for the rest of my life.
