About bruinmom

I'm a California girl, born and raised. I graduated from UCLA (hence the name Bruinmom). I taught Kindergarten and first grade until the birth of my second son. He was born with Down Syndrome, and due to all the complications stemming from that diagnosis, I gave up my career to stay home and raise my boys. I am passionate about education, particularly early childhood education, and a big supporter of public schools. I miss teaching but LOVE being home with my boys.
