Hello from Northern California!
Hmm....a short bio so you will know who I am, and why to even trust what opinions I give:
I'm from the Midwest, Minnesota to be exact. Lived there from birth to college when I made the great leap over to Wisconsin. Daring no? I studied Biochemistry/Molecular Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. But, not being content with just science, I also majored in French and spent a semester abroad in Toulon, France. My real area of expertise in France, is Southern France although I have also visited Bretagne and of course, Paris.
I have since done all the following: got married to Frenchman, moved to Boston for 2 years, moved to California (going on 5 years), worked at Mayo Clinic, small biotech and Children's Hospital, played lots of tennis, taken tons of photos, read many books, hosted several dinner parties, created various craft projects and overall tried to live life to it's fullest.
Most likely my reviews will focus on these areas:
France
Lived with a French family for 4 months, traveled extensively, married to a Frenchman, and have many French friends. Will enjoy sharing my knowledge with you to make your trip to France one to remember.
Digital Photography
I'm not an expert, but I love taking photos, and using Photoshop Elements 2.0. I personally use a Canon Powershot G2 which I adore. My husband has one with even more gadgets, the Nikon D100. Here are a few photos:

Books
My tastes are varied from technical to pure fiction.
Cooking
I am a devotee of Cooking Light magazine. I have always loved baking, but now I really enjoy making quick and easy healthy/tasty dinners that are ready in 20-40 minutes. (It can be done!)
Films
I especially love foreign films, but have recently started watching A LOT of Japanese anime due to my husband's current obsession with that genre.
I hope you will find my reviews/opinions helpful.
