I have a 16 year old son and a 13 year old step son. My husband and I have been married for 4 years. I am a social worker dealing with the elderly population. I have also worked with juvenile delinquints and people with drug and alcohol addictions.
I keep active with a lot of camping during the summer months and home and church activities throughout the year. I have three dogs and one bird. Each of my pets was rescued from abusive situations. Early in our marriage we decided that we could not physically have more children and until we get more bedrooms for foster children we would have dogs. My "babies" are still around to give me attention. My boys are growing up and doing their own things and mom isn't as needed anymore, except for chauffering or an ATM machine of course.
My family is everything to me. I care for my elderly great-aunt. My parents are still young at heart enough to not need me as much, but they know I am around.
I enjoy cooking for my family. I collect recipies and make all of my family my guinea pigs. Whatever they don't like, the dogs will eat. My co-workers also have to put up with my experiments. I haven't killed anyone yet.
I am a typical down to earth lady. I have my ups and downs like everyone else. I have my share of opinions that I hope to use to help others make wise decisions. I know we are supposed to learn from our own mistakes, but maybe someone else can avoid one by my opinion. I like to read other's opinions and gain that knowledge as well. There is nothing I hate more than wasting my precious time and money on something that isn't worth it. I now check out things before purchasing all the time. I just wish some of the newer products were written about so I know what to get.
