About califtonjgirl

I was born and raised in California's lovely Santa Clara Valley which morphed over the years into Silicon Valley, a mecca for all things start-up, Dot Com and otherwise technological. In November 2003, my husband and I took a major leap, left our jobs and our routine and moved to his hometown in New Jersey. I am currently a stay-at-home cat mom and am looking into completely changing my career (I want to do something art-related, but need to learn more about different art careers yet).
In January 2006, our baby daughter Sarah was born. She's the light of our lives. Although parenting has its ups and downs, I love being a stay-at-home mom. I'll be going back to work part time when she's around 3 years old and full time when she begins the first grade. We've decided that Sarah will be an 'only'.
We moved back to the Bay Area in October 2006. We were going to move to Colorado, and actually had all of our stuff trucked over there. My husband got a job offer he couldn't refuse in December so we moved back here. It's so expensive...if you've never lived in the Bay Area, the real estate costs are outrageous. Yet we were able to find a home and have settled in...it was pure timing for sure. The gentleman who owned the house was preparing it for sale and we were able to purchase it before it was even listed!
Well that's it for now. I really miss New Jersey and New York most of all. Hopefully someday soon we can all fly back to visit. Take care and thanks for taking the time to read this!!!
