My Biography, Seriously.
I can't believe it's been eight months since we moved from Florida to Washington. I'm starting to feel at home here, although I am kind of disappointed that there is no real summer!
I'm a student at Washington State University, majoring in Humanities with emphases in English and History and minoring in English. Hopefully I'll be able to throw in the Professional Writing Certificate, too! After spending what felt like eons at my community college in Florida, I am completely thrilled to be on the final countdown to my B.A.
I also work at a local transportation company that serves the travel industry. While it isn't necessarily my ideal job, I get more responsibility every day, which I thrive on.
I adore writing, and I hope to make a career of it. Ideally, I'd love to write for a magazine or a newspaper. Perhaps one day I'll write a novel, but we'll see. I'm a fantastic procrastinator. I tend to have a great idea in my head that completely evaporates when I sit down to write. Not surprisingly, reading is one of my favorite activities, and it has been since I read my first book - Five True Dog Stories - circa Kindergarten (Did I mention I have an excellent memory?). I adore art and history, too; Jansen's The History of Art was the single most expensive textbook I've ever had to purchase, but it is also my most beloved. One more reason I'm so over the moon with my current school and major.
Between work and school, I don't have a lot of spare time. However, I my husband and I love going on adventures just as much as lounging around the house in pajamas. I also enjoy watching tv and movies, napping, and Wii bowling. Lately I've been making an effort to rent films that wouldn't ordinarily interest me, and I've made some great discoveries!
Our little family also boasts two pups as members: Lily, a Pug/Chihuahua mix, and Tullah, a Miniature Pinscher. They enjoy eating, barking, and behaving like little heathens.
