About cf0x2

You may have noticed that most of my reviews are on knives. This is for a good reason. In third grade, by older brother threw his lousy Smith & Wesson Swat knife in my lap, and said, "Here. Sharpen this." So I did, week after week, year after year. I did the same thing for his entire Smith & Wesson collection. I developed a knack for disassembling, cleaning, sharpening, and identifying knives as well as the strong and weak points of many of the knife makers.
Then when I turned 18, I started my own collection. At one point, I had about 50 knives roaming around. I realized this was far too many and that most of them sat around and collected dust. So, I considered the pros and cons of each, and kept only the ones I really liked and used frequently. Now I'm down to 5. I sold the rest. As an outdoorsmen, I do a fair amount of camping, kayaking, hiking, etc. I try to keep my load as light as possible, so Ive come to learn how a good knife can make all the difference. A dull knife that needs constant attention and maintenance really sucks the fun out of a week-long outing. But a good one becomes a valuable tool and quite a life saver at times.
About every 2 weeks, a friend, relative, co-worker, etc. drops off a knife with me and asks me to sharpen it. I of course use the Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharpmaker (what a shock).
I've come to be known as "The Knife Guru" around here. So recently, I decided to start my own knife selling business, Prior Arrangements LLC. "We keep you one step ahead of whatever life may throw your way." My eBay store will be coming soon.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
