About chaoticmother

I am a single mother of a year and a half old baby boy, who is the delight of my days and the light of my life. Christian was born in November, right before Thanksgiving. I was assured that we would be eating turkey in the hospital, but luckily we were sent home two days before the holiday. He is currently into Matchbox cars and Elmo videos, so I am constantly stepping on little wheeled vehicles while listening to the Elmo's World theme song. This is just one of the many joys of motherhood. Joy, you say? Yes, to me, it is. I could not imagine life without toys strewn all over the floor and Sesame Street blasting out of my television.
My second little angel is Pugsley, my five year old pug. Between the two of them, I am constantly kept on my toes. The dog and the baby love to interact and 'play' together, so I must be forever mindful that they don't get into too much trouble. I also have a third little trouble maker since I am currently taking care of my parents dog, Muffy. The house quickly became full!
I am blessed by being able to stay home with the little ones since I am a Creative Memories Consultant and work from my home. I teach scrapbooking classes, and sell photo-safe products for scrapbooks. I am a scrapbooking fanatic myself, so it works out quite well. I began as a Consultant a year ago this past June. As you might guess, it all keeps me pretty busy. Trying to work at home while a toddler is running around can get frustrating at times!
I am actively involved with my church, and am currently working with the eighth grade students to prepare them for the sacrament of Confirmation. I also am a Eucharistic Minister on Sunday mornings, and my degree from college is in the field of Youth Ministry.
In my spare time (which it seems like I don't have much of these days) I love to read or tinker out in the garden. I also try to keep up with my own scrapbooks, which is a stress reliever for me. I am really big on writing, and almost majored in journalism in college. I have kept personal journals for years now, and use them as a creative outlet. My faith is also very important to me, and I could not have jumped some major hurdles in my life without it.
"Hold fast to dreams; for if they die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly". --Langston Hughes
