I've lived here in Morongo Valley since 1995. I moved out here because of the cheap housing. It was strange living out here at first, it took me a couple years to adjust to the area here. Everything is so quiet in town and there is nothing to do around here unless you drive down to the Palm Springs area in the lower desert. The Palm Springs mountain called Mount San Jacinto is one of the steepest mountains in north America. I can see it from my living room window. Mount San Gorgonio is 14 miles from my home and is the tallest mountain in Southern Califonia. We get a little snowfall once in a while, however a snowfall that sticks to the ground is pretty rare. I have trouble breathing the air out here in the winter and spring. I have some allergic reaction to the plants here in the area so I have to take asthma medications in order to live here. Morongo Valley is pretty rural, a lot of neglected dirt roads, however I live in the nicest area of town.
