 Hello,
and welcome to my little corner of epinions.
My name is Mav.
If you read nothing else of mine, please read: Art, Movies, Stupidity, Funkentelechy and "Debbie Does Dallas." What does it all mean?
About Me
I am a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where I double majored in Creative Writing and Literary and Cultural Studies with a minor in art. In my writing course I concentrated in both fiction and screenwriting while in my cultural studies courses, I focused on 20th century pop culture. This has given me a somewhat unique outlook which I bring with me to the epinions community.
I spend my days as an Interaction Designer for a technology design firm in Pittsburgh, PA. I spend my evenings writing fiction (I'm currently in the middle of a novel that I have been working on for the last couple of years) for my workshop group and drawing and painting. My Epinions
As you can probably guess my looking at the epinions that I have written, I very much enjoy watching films. I have several hundred films on DVD, VHS or LD. But one of the things I really enjoy is the opportunity epinions gives me to ramble on about anything and everything in life from my own English Studies Geek point of view. Here are the essays I have written so far. They seem to be pretty well recieved.
