Hi! I am a very busy grandmother of a special needs child along with being a full-time college student. I am in hopes of not only becoming an attorney but someday sitting on the bench as a juvenile court judge.
I found out about 6 months ago that I have a liver disease and diabetes. Since that diagnoses I have done a complete 180-degree change in my lifestyle (including diet and exercise). Two big changes for me were converting to non-toxic cleaning products and most of my personal care products (still looking for an organic or aluminum free deodorant that is not like superglue and a lotion that works just as well as my Olay lotion) otherwise, I have changed all others.
We have also changed most of our food items to natural and/or organic products so I hope to provide a lot of reviews in this area as we test many different products along the way. We've already discovered quite a few that we really enjoy. One fabulous product that is not necessarily organic or all natural is Dreamfield pasta! It is EXACTLY the same as white flour pasta but has very low digestible carbs and is a lifesaver for people with diabetes. Yes, we can actually have pasta again! Okay for those that were already eating pasta and have diabetes -- shame on you!!! Make the switch to Dreamfield, please!
My grandson is autistic so we have a lot of "toys" that we try to help with his therapy. We hope to begin reviewing these very soon. I help my daughter raise him and they live with me. So, there will also be reviews for "teenage" products as well. She will no longer be a teenager as of this year but the products will still be in that age range so hopefully that will help as well.
Our favorite things to do (besides caring for my grandson) is selling items. We do a lot of selling on places like craigslist, cheapcycle and ebay. It is so much fun and you get to meet a lot of great new people in your area (for local pick up items that is) and the other hobby we have is that we have become distributors for a well-known nutritional company (no, it is not the one that has the tea-tree name) because we have found their products to be what they say Non-toxic, safe for us and safe for our planet.
I use to manage businesses and did this for many, many years. I really love managing and miss it from time to time but I truly became sick of the long hours (80 - 100 hr work weeks) that would make my bosses very rich but did not do much for myself. Let alone the time away from my family and I am very family oriented. I am a firm believer in customer service and being well organized so I look for this when shopping or eating out. I'm sure this will reflect in my reviews as well.
Last but not least my favorite, favorite hobby is photography! I love natural and children photography. Unfortunately I do not get a lot of time to do this but as I dabble further into this field I hope to provide some reviews for photography products along the way.
