I am a postgrad student and part time public servant. I live in a brick art deco flat that is sinking into the ground. The windows produce fine lines with the strain, the bricks split and the floorboards are widening. Today, it is sunny.
Now that we have had our tenancy inspection, I want to get in a car and drive. I want to skirt the narrow plains between hills & sea. I want foam & gorse and the keys to dodgy motel units.
Update:
I am currently reading: The Champion Annual for Boys, 1953, and good, rousing stuff it is too. Lots of wholesome tales of adventure for a young mind to thrill to. Jolly good.
Pavement have broken up.
Bummer.
