Hi! I'm a pro Jazz musician and composer. My main instrument is guitar and I've been playing about 30 years. I'm originally from the UK but my heritage is American Indian. I now live in California. Aside from live performance and radio my works get used a lot on TV and I've had works in rotation across a number of stations including BBC (UK) and the Weather Channel here in the US. I've always had an interest in electronics and I can make simple stuff like cables, power supplies, passive mixers and switch boxes etc. My hobbies are home theater and international cooking. I usually choose equipment in the upper midrange of a manufacturer's catalog (although I'm always prepared to look out a bargain!). This area often delivers the most bang for the buck. I really value other user's opinions. I'd much rather hear from someone who's had to live with a piece of gear than a professional writer who tests something and then sends it back or gives it away. I try to be reasonable in my reviews and to match my expectations to the price of the item and also the performance of similarly priced alternatives. I hope you enjoy reading my reviews as much as I enjoy reading yours.
