I live in a very small community in NW Pa. with my husband and youngest daughter. Three other's have flown the coop. My daughter's are 29 and 13, my son is 25, my stepson is 19. I also have six grandchildren, granddaughter's ages 8, 3 years and 6 months & 4 months and a grandson's that are 5 and 2.

After I lost my job managing a tavern near our home, I came back to Epinions after a long break. I do help Hubby with our Salvage Yard in my "spare time". I also love cars/trucks/ATV's and have had a lot of experience in several area's in the Cars & Motorsports category. Gardening and reading are also some of my passions, so I will pop in and read reviews in those categories also.

I am thoroughly enjoying Epinions again (for the most part), I have written and rewritten some reviews, moving reviews that I have done previously as products are added to the data base, without swamping CL's.

I try to be as honest as possible with my ratings. Just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean I will leave a poor rating, that is what this is all about. The way I read a review is if I didn't know anything about the item at all, if you can explain it well enough to me for me to form an opinion about it I will leave you a VH. If I still have some questions I will leave an H. If I am not sure what you are talking about or if the spelling is so bad that I couldn't get past that part I will leave an SH, but I will try to leave an reason why and give you the opportunity to correct your mistakes. If you email me with an edited review, please send me the URL, I read so many reviews that it is much easier that way. This is what some very nice people here have done for me and I feel everyone deserves a chance to correct their mistakes. I will NH a review that is totally off topic, plagiarized, or abusive. I will also report this type of abuse and block the user.

I hope everyone here will do the same for me. This is really not about us, but for consumers to be able to make a better decision on what is right for them. Although if you do leave me a low rating, please let me know why, and don't be afraid to leave your name. I will not revenge rate under any circumstances, that it extremely childish and not worth my time.

I also have a tendency to rate gourmet/foodie reviews a little tougher than any others. Mostly because that is a subject that I happen to know something about.

What I look for in a VH gourmet/foodie review is; what are your sensory perceptions of the product. (Taste, scent, looks) Also a little history about the company or product is an added bonus. Recipes can be fun also, but don't make that your entire review. Hopefully Epinions will add a gourmet recipe category. Also pairing your beverage reviews with food can be extremely helpful. Sometimes I am looking for something new and different to serve, in that case I usually head to Epinions for suggestions. I am slowly learning about wines, beer and cigars, and happen to love Pennsylvania wines. Slowly moving my wine reviews from 2000 once I get the category added. Don't want to overwhelm the CL's!

Also I am reworking my WOT, there is a lot of behaviour that we need to be wary of. To me WOT means just that, it is a web, if I trust you and you trust person's that have some behaviour not quite acceptable, that is allowing those people to have my rating power. I cannot accept that, those persons that are scamming the system do not need to have my name added to their rating power, period. If you have added me to your WOT, I have added you to my notification system. I will read your work until I feel comfortable adding you to mine.

I also reserve the right not to rate a review that makes me too uncomfortable to leave an unbiased rating. That has happened several times, especially on editorials.
