My real name's Mark and the CoffeeKid nickname came from a website I run, called ironically enough, Coffeekid.com Quality (not quantity) espresso and coffee are two passions of mine.
According to my friends, I'm also a bit of a digirati, whatever the hell that is. I guess it's because I'm a bit tech crazy - I like buying what others call "expensive toys". But they aren't toys to me - they are useful tools. If something can save 15 minutes of my day, day in and day out, it's a tool - I don't have a lot of free time any longer. And if something can make my professional life a bit more bearable, it's a super tool.
And if something can be fun, AND make me money (read: make my company money while I have fun with it), it's a super duper tool.
As I get older, I look at things with a dollars and sense attitude - if it costs me x dollars, what's the return. As such, I tend to do a lot of research on a product before I buy it. This is why I like epinions, and why I also set up the Web's only independant review site for coffee and espresso machines. I also am not afraid of spending more money on something that is going to last longer, do the job better, or save me time (even if I have to wait while I save up that cash).
