Political obfuscation, doublespeak, religious and patriotic fanatacism in any form and from any group, racism, culturalism, blind nationalism, most other 'isms'.

Hopes for the future:
Enough advancement in humankind so all religious cults and businesses by whatever name are no longer needed by the weak in mind; an end to the concept of killing as a form of political control; effective government that follows the true meaning or the word govern as "to look after the people" and not as practiced in every single country in the world today and by every single politician on the face of the earth of "I'm better than you so you should continue to suffer and give me money so I don't have to suffer."
An end to all forms of terrorism including Economic Terrorism.
Fears for the future:
Lack of education and awareness will continue to allow religions and brain-dead politicos to suppress those in both advanced and undeveloped countries.
Politicians will continue to cow those in their thrall to the detriment of most.
It will take another 10,000 years for civilization to arrive.
Why did I join Eopinions?
The most intelligent people can only be read and debated with on a forum that is not government (at least not fully controlled by government yet anyway) or news media/political propaganda controlled.
After reading many opinions realized that here there is intelligent life and I hoped some of it would rub off on me.
I'm opinionated.
