I am the son of a soldier, and the descendant of a long line of soldiers who have fought for the United States all the way back to the Revolutionary War. I served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and currently serve in the Air National Guard. Although I wear an Air Force uniform, my duties involve supporting the Army and I remain on "jump status." I am proud of the fact that even at this stage of my career, I am an active PARATROOPER.
During my military career, I saw combat in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. I have have also served in Somalia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Turkey, Afghanistan and Iraq (twice). Wounded twice, I could have accepted a medical discharge and chose not to. I continue to serve today.
I am an admirer of creative people, whether they be writers, painters, sculptors or photographers. I'd like to think that I'm pretty accomplished at both writing and photography and I guess you could say that I obsessed with the latter.
For those folks who read and rate my reviews, I thank you in advance. I hope you find them useful for your purchasing decisions. I am aware that the number of reviews I have posted have been limited and I hope to add to the total.
For epinions users who need assistance with products I have not reviewed, I heartily recommend that you seek out the product reviews by Howard Creech and "Sweeper" aka Dave Burckhard. These two gentlemen offer a wealth of experience, background information and history in their reviews that I have found to be very informative and in many cases entertaining.
