I've owned over 100 electric bass guitars in the last three of years, so I know basses pretty well. I try to write in-depth reviews with a plenty of information to make a good purchasing decision. Quite a few of the instrument reviews here on epinions seem to suffer from the "honeymoon period syndrome". I understand this, as nobody buys something that he or she doesn't think is great. However, I don't find glowing, "this is the best ever!!!" reviews to be all that helpful to anyone.
