Well, until I'm special enough to get rankings, here's mine, by me:
#655 in Restaurants and Gourmet (As of March 31)
I'm on the board and moving up!
Advisor in Being a Geek
My name is Josh. I am currently finishing my final semester in the five-year Masters of Accountancy program at the University of Missouri-Columbia. It's been a long, hard five years, and I'm ready for a change. It'll also be nice to have more opportunities to write reviews at night instead of writing papers.
I've been married for two years. My wife and I have four "kids": three cats and a dog. Our cats are great...how I feel about the dog depends on when you ask me.
I enjoy having a good drink and listening to some good music. As you can see from my reviews, I enjoy tasting beers...it's become a bit of a hobby. Musically, I prefer punk, hard rock, some alternative, and a few other varieties, as you can tell from "what's in my CD changer." When not drinking beer and listening to music, I try to find time for my PS2 or a round of golf (which doesn't happen often, sadly).
Ever wonder what kind of music people listen to? I like to know...it can tell a lot about a person. Here's what's in my CD changer:
1)NOFX - The War on Errorism
2)Live - Throwing Copper
3)Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies
4)Weezer - Pinkerton
5)Nirvana - Nevermind
6)Sublime - 40oz. to Freedom
7)Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
8)Stone Temple Pilots - Core
9)Ben Folds Five - Whatever and Ever, Amen
10)Ben Folds Five - The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner
11)Phish - Lawn Boy
12)Thom Howard - Sometimes a Guitar is Just a Guitar
Here are some reviewers you must check out:
4-1-1 - exceptionally well-written opinions...on just about everything!
Bruguru - the master of hard-to-find brews.
beerlover - while he and Bruguru do not get along, both write exceptional beer reviews.
andaryl - another guy who knows his beer.
fuche_bu - another to whom I look for beer advice.
proxam - again with the beer!...even if his beer reviews were bad, I'd read just for the interludes.
vara - well-written opinions; the one to look to if you are researching cars.
BrianKoller - the most highly-read movie buff around [I also believe he is currently the most highly-read Epinioner around as well]
kenshin-guy - On his way to becoming a Video Games Advisor for sure!
rock_on - another video game guru.
tkerodd - Writes many editorials...I enjoy reading his advice.
I must also give honorable mention to Fez_Monkey. While he annoyed me at first, I have learned to accept that I enjoy the lighthearted although sometimes controversial content of his "reviews."
One essay of his that must be checked out is regarding Fox "News"
Are you one of the Ten worst drivers?
Keep track of the authors you like to read. Check out whatever22
[I have permission now....Woohoo!!!!!!!!!]
by the way, check out some of her opinions; they are definitely worth reading!
