My name is Julie and I'm a 24 year old from outside Cleveland, Ohio. About 5 years ago, the "travel bug" started biting me... bad. I was a hairdresser/nail tech and we would travel 2-3 times a year to conventions across the country (and even overseas). Traveling felt way too familiar to me and I eventually came to the conclusion that there are far too many places in the world that I want to see. So I quit my job doing hair for a job in the travel industry.

How I got to work on a cruise ship in itself is a whole different story, so I'll just leave it out completely. But I will say it wasn't easy!

I worked on Celebrity's Zenith in 2003 and 2004. We spent the summer in Bermuda and the winter in the Caribbean and Central America. Ports of call included Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Barbados, Grenada, St. Martin, Key West, Grand Cayman, and Costa Rica.

I'd also like to take time to tell you I write about the things I did, which include the best shopping, beaches, restaurants, excursions, and nightlife. If you're looking for the best hotels, museums, car rental companies, art galleries, etc. you won't find it in my reviews (sorry).

I am now back to working in the salon but still travel as much as possible.

I also try to write about the places not as many people have written about; the places more off the beaten path, like Grenada or St. Kitts.
