I'm a 23-year-old red-headed fireball going to graduate school at the University of Missouri-Columbia in Columbia, MO, for my Master's in Editing. I also received my Bachelor's degree at the same school in a little field that the school is kinda well-known for, or so I hear: journalism.
Watch out; I'm a grammar guru of sorts. I've been chosen for the past three semesters to be a teaching assistant for the toughest grammar-based editing course in the journalism school. The grammar police are coming! Hide your commas! If you ever catch any glaring mistakes in my reviews, feel free to flog me. Also, if you'd like to talk about comma splices, conjunctive adverbs or correlative conjunctions, send an e-mail.
I love going to concerts and listening to music. I co-host an indie rock and emo radio show with my boyfriend. We spend a lot of time gossiping about "the scene" and maintain a Web site for the show, which has been gaining in popularity. I also work as a Music Director for the college radio station on which the show airs, KCOU/88.1 FM.
I speak French, or should I say je parle francais. I took French classes from the time I was in third grade (a progressive grade school, indeed) up until my junior year in college. Bien sur! I have a deep love of the language and the culture, and I hope to go back to the country someday.
I am vegetarian and am active in various animal rights campaigns. I even used to be a vegan before I sold out. I do what I can, folks. Isn't that good enough for you?I go nuts over Morningstar Frams and Boca products. I also like to cook. I make mean veggie tacos and great macaroni and cheese. Yum.
I'm originally from Canton, Oh., home of the Football Hall of Fame and the William McKinley National Monument, where I volunteered throughout grade school and high school because I'm such a good citizen. I even vote, too!
Am I cool or what?
