About danapee
My husband and I own an Interior Design Consulting business in the Washington DC area. You can preview our site at www.imageandimagination.com. We offer consulting services locally as well as around the world. We can give you free preliminary advice if you have a rather daunting problem. I started my career in Fashion Design at Tennessee State University. While there I decided to go into an Interior Design co-major and it stuck. From there I worked for Home Depot as a designer in their paint/flooring/design center. I gained great practical knowledge as well as learning what people really need. I decided to try my hand at owning my own business and started a company called Simply Dana, where I handmade slipcovers, draperies, and other textiles for the home. Since then I decided to become skilled in linens where I worked for a fine linens company in Chicago. I moved to Washington DC in 1999 and got a job at a furniture store where I met my husband. I recently became a mother and we started our company together. He is a very talented designer and is a visual merchandising director. Our style is urban contemporary, however we love designing in all genres. We will have terrific photos of our work on our website very soon. Visit us!
