Ever since I was old enough to pick up a pen, I have been interested in writing. I could read at a very early age, and now I realise how we are exposed to different forms of the media even at so young an age.
Basically, I am an eighteen-year-old student from the industrial town of Newport, Wales, with the desire to obtain future work in the media...specifically film & television. I have a bold interest in all aspects, though particularly this field.
I have attended my school, Hartridge High, from the very beginning. I am due to leave next September, and hopefully go to University. I currently study sociology, English literature, and media studies...subjects which I seem to enjoy very much. I also have a large amount of hobbies, which include web design, drawing and painting, reading, writing poetry and prose.
As a child I dreamed of becoming many things. As we all do. Though I never had my heart set on becoming a princess in a fairy castle. First I wanted to be a journalist. I wrote articles in school, short stories...I illustrated those childhood books, too. I then decided that I wanted to become a writer. It has always been a somewhat secret ambition of mine to have a book published. As expected, I went through the phase of 'I want to be a famous singer' though years later, when faced with the realisation that I could not sing, that kind of posed as a problem...
Anyhow, I now have my heart set on working in film and TV. In my free time I enjoy making websites and drawing, Harry Potter, trying to find the time to whip up a future novel...however, it may be hidden but I do adore acting. I would love to work as an extra, in commercials, a soap or childrens' programmes along the lines of The Worst Witch. Not a 'movie star'. Too many other people hold that dream.
Still, why I am rambling on I do not know. For now, all I can say is that I hope you enjoy my reviews. I do not watch TV but I enjoy movies, and I love writing about them. You do not have to listen to what I have to say about them, as we all hold our own opinions, but I do hope they help.
