I think the internet can be a wonderful resource for the average consumer. Finally, a forum where we can express our honest opinions, and have those opinions published for all to read, free from commercial pressure and corporate pandering. This kind of open communication, properly used, breeds smart consumers, and ultimately, better products, as weak products will be weeded out by communication instead of hidden behind a Madison Avenue-generated smokescreen.
College students: check out teacherreviews.com. Kinda like Epinions, but lets you rate your professors, and read about the ones you might have next year...
Anybody: please leave comments on my epinions. Tell me what's good, and what you'd like to see. I look for them frequently, and update my reviews as necessary. The only way to get really good reviews, with the information you need, is to let me know what you need. I'm always happy to say good things about products and companies that please me, and to put poorly-performing companies and products in their place.
