About dbcint
The drop down boxes are gone! Instead, I've opted to build my own website and list my reviews there. It's nothing flash at the moment, but it serves its purpose.

REVIEWS I PLAN ON WRITING IN 2005
This year I'll be completing the Jason Voorhees saga, with reviews on "Friday The 13th Part 5: A New Beginning" through to "Jason X". After that, I may start on Freddy Krueger.

In the 'books' category, I'll finish off the "Tomorrow, When The War Began" series. I've re-read the last few books recently and I'm ready to write those reviews, but they won't be published for a while. I'm leaving those for Tom's next 'lean-n-mean' W/O.

Also coming up in 2005 will be the Terminator trilogy. I'll be starting reviews on the first two films shortly, then I'll have to re-watch the third before I can review it.

Two other trilogies I'd like to review this year are the Lord Of The Rings. I've banned myself from watching any of the movies until I've read their corresponding books. At the moment, I'm probably about three quarters through "The Fellowship Of The Ring", but I'mm finding it such slow going I can't exactly promise that those reviews will be up this year.

I'd like to do some more reviews on the "Bernie Rhodenbarr" series of books, and I'll also be writing reviews for the "Animorphs" series. That particular task may carry over into 2006 as well though, seeing as there's so many of them.

I've long since promised a tribute to Christopher Reeve, who passed away last year. I did have that started, but it got wiped in what I call "The Great Disconnection of 2004". So, I have to start that again, but I've been thinking of different forms my tributre could take. Perhaps a W/O is in order, whereupon as many epinionaters who are keen simply innundate the site with Superman reviews. If you're interested, send me an email and if I get enough we'll sort something out.

In other W/O news, I'm thinking about the return of "The Quotes That Make The Movie W/O". I've still got a few ideas in mind, and last year so many people came up with great quotes from movies I wasn't quite expecting. Based on that, I think it could be a success this year as well.

As far as Epinions goes, my New Year's Resolutions have all gone out the window. I can no longer promise a minimum of two product reviews a week, nor do I have any idea how many reviews I'll be doing in total. Also, as today (March 23rd) is my two-year anniversary at Epinions, I've decided to mark it be making an announcement: I've published a review tonight for The Others, and that will be my last new product review for a while - excluding any write/off obligations. Instead, I'm going to go back and update a lot of the reviews I wrote when I first started. I've been wanting to get those reviews up to scratch for a while, so I'm finally going to do it. I'll link them up here once I'm done, and also send out emails. So if you rated any of my very early reviews about 2 years ago, expect a few emails over the coming weeks asking you to take another look.

Lastly, I just want to say a big "THANK YOU" to all those who have supported me thus far. You know who you are and I hope I can count on your continued friendship in the years to come.
There's a lot of writers who deserve recognition, too many for me to list here. It kind of seems like a waste of time listing them all here anyway, just scroll up and check out my section of the WOT.

As always, feel free to drop me an email if you want to discuss a rating or comment I may have left you, or for whatever reason, perhaps just to say hello. My address is at the top of the page.

Later,
Dean.
