About dchefsours
I would like to think that I am not a fan of any one artist, but a music lover to all kinds. I don’t consider myself
a cook or a chef, but an artist and a creator of tasteful foods. I don’t particularly like the term wife, but enjoy the idea of being a partner in life. I enjoy hiking, skiing, adventure in the outdoors, but enjoy becoming one with nature and being set free by its simplicity.
I have never proclaimed to be a writer of any kind, but instead a giver of words and expressions.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t look at the Rockies outside my window, and think of how lucky I am to be able to live where I do, and enjoy life as I do. For seven years I have lived in Colorado, after graduating from culinary school I headed west to the tall peaks and never looked back.

Music and Me
I have a strong passion for music of all kinds, as it seems to be the comforting factor in any up upheaval in my life. At some point, I wanted to sing and I had all those big dreams, but then didn’t we all. I married early on to a professional musician, had a beautiful child and for 7 years or so I was given the opportunity to immerse myself in the music business and experience all that it had to offer. I watched how the it worked from the inside out and met the most enthralling people while doing so. Though quite fascinating at times, it also had its low points. My lessons were numerous and my memories irreplaceable.
These day’s I am married to a Civil Engineer (go figure, huh) who also play’s an instrument…jeez, who enjoys dangerous sports…sighs. And I have twins, a boy and girl and a 18 year old daughter (big sigh).

Music hath charms to soothe a savage beast, to soften rocks and bend a knotted oak.
William Congreve

That Chef Thing

I spent 2 years in Culinary school and the rest I learned through massive trial and error. Though not the original path I might have chosen for my self, it was a great creative outlet and I continue to indulge myself in the challenges of the culinary world when I can. My last endeavor was that of a Pastry Chef. Doing pastry was more technical and precise, and artistic. It was a challenge for me to switch over and one that I enjoyed making. Now on a hiatus from the professional kitchen, I seem to spend a lot of time here, at Epinions.

"Music can measure how broad our horizons are. My mind wants to see infinity"
Stevie Wonder

When I write about Music

When I choose to write a music review I dig down deep and try to capture the essence of the writer, the musician, the singer and the one who might be listening. You won’t find much interpretation of the songs as I truly believe that each of us interprets a song differently. I do rely on past experience to carry my mood sometimes. I hope to in someway open a musical door for someone, or challenge them to branch out and create a diversified view of music.

"Everybody else is talking about how hard life is, and here I am singing about how good it is to be alive". John Denver

I hope that you will read all of these reviews and feel as free to make comments about what you read. I hope that I can provide you with some useful information.
