UPDATE (Feb 15, 2000): Believe it or not, I survived the move to New York City! I'm presently living in Manhattan and working for a company called GIANTS Travel Network. A consortium of about 2000 travel agencies (of which my agency in Tulsa has been a member for well over 10 years). Though I am no longer a "travel agent", I am still in the industry. Only difference is now travel agents are my clients and I'm working with them to help them build their own businesses.
Though I miss my dog terribly, she won't be joining me in NY until I've found a place to settle down and am no longer working 28 hour days. She's currently being spoiled rotten by her grandmother whilst I find us a home and get my job here moving smoothly.
I am still on ICQ from the office. My uin here is 3474368. If you request to add me to your list make sure you specify it's from epinions as I usually decline if it's not someone I know. ---------------------------- PREVIOUS INFORMATION: I was born in Germany and currently live in Tulsa, OK. (see above) I joined the travel industry just over 10 years ago and have loved it! I am currently Vice President of Browne-Larsen Travel, Inc.
I specialize in upscale ultra-luxury cruises, but enjoy all kinds of travel. I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel the world leading groups on the upscale cruise lines.
Recently I was given the honor of being listed in Travel Agent Magazine's "Top 100 Rising Stars in Travel & Tourism". Something I never expected to do and that still amazes me. I love the travel industry and consider travel itself to be a not-so-mild obsession.
Upon my return from my last cruise, aboard Silver Cloud (the review is listed under Silversea) I discovered that there is quite a lack of free-flowing ubiased information out there for the upscale cruiser. Most open forums such as e-mail discussion lists and news groups gravitate towards the mass and premium market cruises, which is after all what most people travel on. Because of this I started an e-mail discussion list strictly for upscale cruisers with an absolute no advertising policy. It seems to have been a needed resource, as Luxcruise's membership jumped almost immediately after starting it.
I enjoy cruising on the 6 star cruise lines and am always more than happy to give a little free information and advice to those who ask. It's a wonderful way to travel.
When I'm not traveling I'm enjoying my mountains of nephews and playing with my dog. My dog comes to work with me every day when I'm in town and enjoys a life of unbridled spoiling.
