About dlysell
I have 5 grandchildren, and this fuels many of my interest and hobbies. Building things for them, and remodeling the house they live in has become one of my main projects. I have always been interested in wood working, and have a fairly complete shop. I have also become interested in quilting, since my wife is an avid quilter. We have completed several projects utilizing my computer skills to print pictures on fabric for her quilts. Model building also is a pass time that I try to spend what little free time I have doing. I machine my own steam engines, and most of my models are radio controled. My wife and I both love the coast, and spend our vacations at the outer Banks of NC fishing. We also spend time fishing in the many lakes around our home. I have now retired, and have been spending a lot of time restoring antique furniture. I have developed an interest in chair caning, and have had many requests by friends of my daughter to do chair seats, and other repair and restoration projects. I have outgrown my shop, and hope to build a bigger one, as i seem to accumulate more and more tools and equipment. I have been told that he who dies with the most tools is the winner, guess I'm it.
