I read all the time, it doesn't really matter the genre so long as it's a good story. My favorites include the works of Richard Laymon, Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, and the Unfortunate Events series by Lemony Snicket.
I have music playing all the time, and again, it doesn't matter the style so long as the sound is good. My favorites here are the goth sound of Midnight Syndicate, and the music of Eminem, Chris Knight, and The White Stripes.
I enjoy writing, even though I'm not really any good at it. I guess as long as you find something enjoyable, it doesn't matter much if you can do it well or not. That theory holds true for my writing, my non-existent guitar playing ability, and my golf game.
