About dr_roger

I am 58 years of age and a main interest (both professionally and as a pastime) is working with the European roe deer. Of my other interests, the most important is my Border Collie dog Beth. I enjoy reading and I am a keen photographer, having trained as a professional photographer in my late teens. I did my Masters degree and PHD (zoology) at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. I have written many academic papers on roe deer as well as a book. I live in a old farm cottage overlooking the Grampian mountains and the River Dee on Royal Deeside. My other interest is movies, and I have a DVD collection (you need something to do during the dark, cold and snowy winter nights in Highland Scotland other than drink fine malt whisky!).
