About drive571

I've been derelict in my duties here at Epinions recently, due to a combination of finishing graduate school, wrapping up my job as a trainer for Kaplan, and--most exciting of all--moving to Australia! My wife is about to commence her graduate studies at University of Melbourne, and setting up a new life here in Victoria is keeping both of us very busy.

A little background on my reviews: they're are almost entirely based on test-drives (at dealerships or manufacturer ride-and-drives), and not on personal ownership. This means you won't find first-hand reliability information in my reviews--you'll find reviews by owners to be much more helpful in that respect. On the other hand, you may find my reviews to be less colored by personal experience--I have no emotional or financial attachment to the vehicle I'm reviewing, and have usually driven most (sometimes all) of the models it competes against.

I started posting reviews here as an undergraduate at UC Davis, mostly to help improve my writing skills. But I also aim to be as helpful as possible to Epinions readers shopping for a new car--if you have any car-related queries, I'll enjoy trying to answering them.

My reviews of current models:
