I am the type of person who likes to find out EVERYTHING I can about a product before buying it. Typical magazine or commercial websites hardly do justice to the product with what I would call a brief overview. You know just from reading it that the reviewer only spent an hour or two with the product, gave us a couple personal opinions, and regurgitated the rest of the stuff from the press release, media information kit, or product website. That simply doesn't cut it for me, and I know it's the same way with many of you.
That's why epinions is such a godsend for me with its breadth and depth of user opinions and experiences from people who have spent many many hours not only using their product, but comparing it against others. And that's why when I write a review, you can bet it will be the result of many hours of research on my part to know everything I possibly can about it and competing products -- I wouldn't have bought it, otherwise.

PERSONAL INFO
Now, for a little about myself:
Being a Canadian, I love hockey, eh? :) And cars, especially German cars. Volkswagens, Audis, BMW's, Mercedes, and Porsches. Currently, I can only afford one of those makes, and, just to give you a hint, it's not a Porsche :)
I also love computers, which is paying off as IT skills are a cornerstone of my skill-set that I use for my career. I have a degree in Science, where I majored in Physiology (basically, the study of how the organs and systems in the body works), and a degree in Business, where I majored in Entrepreneurship and Management Information Systems. I am now working on my MBA degree, so it's unlikely that I'll be a frequent visitor on epinions with the heavy time constraints.
With the little free time I have, I like to watch TV (West Wing, ER, the Sopranos, and hockey), search for information on the Internet, talk to friends on the phone, or go out with them to eat dinner or see a movie. If I can find a team, I will play hockey again this winter, and will work out more. My current excuse is that going to the fitness club takes too much time... well it does! 3 hours by the time I drive there, work out, change twice, drive back, shower, change again, refuel/rehydrate, etc. :)
