About eatdrumz
I have been in the automotive business for the last 20 years. I am currently a Service Manager for a Japanese auto manufacturer, (to remain nameless). When I write a review on a car, I don't focus on how the radio works, ergonomics, or the comfort of the seats. I like to focus more on, is that shinny new beauty you've been dreaming of is a mechanical nightmare, or will it give you years of trouble free operation. I focus on which if any mechanical failures one can expect from which models. You'd be surprised at which Makes and Models are garbage, contrary to what they print in the Magazines, or even Consumer help magazines I don't like to see people drop $15-$50,000.00 on a nightmare on wheels, "But the stereo sounds good!". I had the experience of the manufacturer buying back one of my "beauties" under the "Lemon Law." That was a nightmare for me, and I worked for them at the time. Service advisors/Managers know which models are great, and which are crap. It's getting them to admit which is which. I will do that in my reviews. As a Service Manager, I am privy on all recalls, models which are having minor to catastrophic mechanical failures which can cost you thousands of dollars to repair. That is why I don't want to print which manufacturer I am currently employed by. While the automotive business pays the bills, I have a passion for writing, performing and recording music. My site name is "eatdrumz," Guess what I play. I've worked with some names, and even have my name on some CD's but have never cracked any "top 40" list. I just have a blast doing what me and some friends have a passion for. Creating and performing music! I'm a hippie computer geek who loves camping, fishing, outdoors, movies, and idolizes his children. At church, I teach bible studies from "Essentials of Christianity" classes to "Advanced Apologetics." I may not have the writing prowess of some of the more established reviewers, and there are several great ones on this site, but my reviews will be honest, and objective as possible. If I love or hate a product, I'll usually write about it. If I am indifferent, I won't unless there is a warning attached such as, "transmission failures common at 15,000 miles." Well, that's enough boring details. This is a fun site, that has helped me make several buying decisions. God Bless!
