The explanation for the picture is that this film is at the beginning of how I became obsessed with working with the movie industry. This and Poltergeist. I saw a close up of Jodie Foster looking evil and thought "Damn that's just cool!"
Thank you for coming back so much! Favorite directors (and I know I am going to forget some and these are in no special order) are Fellini, Bergman, Altman (excusing Ready-to-Wear), Stanley Kubrick, Neil Jordan (excusing In Dreams), Pedro Almodovar, Kieslowski, Tim Burton, and Sean Penn (only two movies so far but shows great promise) to name a few.
A taste (at least for today) of some of my favorite films: Brazil, Time Bandits, Singin' in the Rain, A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove, 8 1/2, Eve's Bayou, Beloved, Princess Mononoke, Slaughterhouse-Five, The Crossing Guard, The Decalogues, sex lies & videotape, All About My Mother, and this will be added to from time to time.
Some authors I deeply admire include (but are by no means limited to): James M. Cain, James Joyce, Alice Walker, Virginia Woolf, Kurt Vonnegut, Ray Bradbury, Octavia Butler, H.P. Lovecraft, Spalding Gray, the Bard, Albert Camus, Dorothy Parker, H.G.Wells, Dashiell Hammett, (a new one) Pat Barker, and I am sure this list will be added to. I am opened to reading suggestions from fellow literature lovers.
