Born and raised in Wisconsin. SWTC graduate - Now have an Associates degree in Ag business. I went to Germany to milk cows over there for three months. Unbelievably beautiful country, incredibly nice people, great cars, delicious food, beautiful women - need I say more?
I took a tour on a harvest crew summer of 2000. The pay wasn't great, but it was a great learning experience and I wouldn't have missed it for the world, but I wouldn't do it twice. I'm now working on a dairy farm and dreaming of owning my own. I think the way to go is organic milk sold directly to the consumer. I am a strong opponent of these disturbingly huge farms. I also oppose the use of rBST in the production of milk.
When I'm not working, I'm either on the net, in my garden, with my incredible girlfriend (how did I ever get so lucky?), on my motorcycle, in a canoe, on my snowmobile, cruising car lots dreaming of Zx2s and Sc2s and 1971 F100s, partying in the nonalcoholic way with my friends, or hunting. Once in a while, I sleep.
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it'll buy all the nice little accessories... If I were money driven, I sure wouldn't be farming.
Where's the area to give opinions on John Deere tractors, Peterbuilt trucks,, rifles, shotguns, and Gleaner combines?
