The Basics:
I'm 22, engaged, and pursuing my Masters in History. Masters in History? What am I going to do with that, you say? Uh ... go on and get my Doctorate in History. Big plans after that, though! My hope is to work in a history musuem. I'm fascinated by history, and I'd love to bring it alive by working in a musuem. I live in Michigan with my fiancé and two cats. See my picture? Those are my two cats. Completely unrelated, they are. All right, they're sisters. Adorable, aren't they?
Swimming in the deep end:
I believe in everyone's unique beauty. I believe eating chocolate and working out, sometimes at the same time. I believe in treating your body right, because you only get one. I believe in treating your body to life's little pleasures. I believe in saying "I love you" too frequently and sitting outside in thunderstorms. I believe if Sailboats were supposed to be made of fiberglass, we'd have fiberglass trees. I believe anyone who can't find joy in life needs to be taken out on a good sail. I believe in learning from history (what kind of History student would I be if I didn't?), and embracing culture. I'm secure enough to have an open mind and still listen to views that directly oppose mine. I generally believe people are too critical of their own appearances.
The best advice I ever got was from my brother, who said "Drink some water, and move on." Try it.
I have a very dry sense of humor, which is always reflected in my reviews - even if you don't catch it! I find my relaxation through martial arts, cooking, and indulging in some of my vices. I have a mixed ancestry of Dutch, Irish and German, though I'm mostly Irish. And yes, I have classic Irish traits - red-hued hair, a charming temper, and an affinity towards drinking with friends. I'm told two of these are flaws, but if you like your flaws, are they really flaws?
You'll find most of my reviews comfortable nestled in the Beauty section, as I am a self-admitted beauty junkie.
