I have only been a coaster enthusiast since age 15, which surprises most people. A single visit to Riverside, MA in 1999 did it, with its terrifying ride on the Hellevator freefall, my first real thrill ride. True, I had been to carnivals at a young age but had stayed away from the "crazy" rides.

My interest in horror movies began at a young age but did not become fully fledged until I was 14, when I essentially became a thrill seeker and sought out horror movies to try to scare myself instead of for mere entertainment. However, I got frustrated when I discovered that my change to fearlessness resulted in my inability to attain that level of fear I wanted so badly.

Roller coasters...and later on, skycoasters and cliff jumping, filled that gap in my need for fear and thrills.
======================================
I have been pretty independent my whole life and very secure with myself...so secure that I have never felt lonely. After a few awkward and meaningless relationships, I'd decided it was impossible for me to find worthwhile companionship. I was prepared to go along with my life simply by myself instead of compromising my happiness.

Then I met Paul. Over the first few months that we knew each other, I noticed that he was easy to talk to, very fun to hang out with, and actually liked to do most things that I liked to do. Our compatability surprised me and seemed too good to be true...so I initially ignored it, probably to keep myself from getting my hopes up. But at one point, everything just clicked in my mind and I realized he was a very real and rare treasure. Not only do we think along the same brain-wave, but I find him very, very attractive :) I am sooo thankful for finding him and for everyone/everthing that helped out in that finding.
