My name's Heather, and I'm a 31-year-old former music industry professional, specializing in promotions and PR. I've ditched the music biz for greener pastures, and have plans to return to school for ... well, something. Every time I think I've narrowed it down, I get cold feet and leave my last major at the alter. (Though I'm probably going back for writing and photography.)
So, in the meantime, I live in Boston, MA (more specifically, the coastal town of Revere), where I've spent the second half of my life, thus far (the first half having been spent in NY, with a minor detour to Orlando for two years in my early twenties). Like so much of my generation, I've moved back home in order to save some money. Being a grown-up sucks!
On a regular basis, I dream about visiting places like New Zealand, Australia, England, Scotland, Japan, and the cities of ancient Greece. I also have this fantasy of living on a Tibetan mountaintop--but I like toilets too much.
In April 2007, my four-year-relationship ended explosively, and now I'm reclaiming pieces of my life that I'd stowed away because of my ex. The single life isn't so bad!
The loves of my life are my cats (a.k.a. my sons), Skittles and Winnie, my "sister" cat, Meggie, and my hamster Captain Happy Jack Sparrow Shephard (named after Jack from "LOST" and Jack Sparrow from POTC) -- as well as the much loved and missed BJ, Feisty, Punkin' and Teddy.
My vast over-stuffed arsenal of interests and hobbies includes anything creative, geeky, naturalistic or other-wordly, such as nature (especially the ocean), music, writing, photography, reading, art, travel, animals, Greek Lit., gaming, parapsychology, psychology, anime, independent/foreign films, philosophy, web design, science fiction, and my boy. I'm also a devoted obsessee of LOTR and LOST!
