Welcome to Hongkong - the ancestral home of my family and clan for the last 23 generations, and where I was born. My teenage years were spent shuttling between home in south of London and boarding school north of it, and decided I preferred the simpler and more stable life, went to universities in the north of England: Nottingham, and Hull. You need no introduction to Nottingham, but the areas around Hull have their famous landmarks too - most prominent being the Humber Bridge across the Humber Estuary, linking East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, and it is the 3rd longest single-span suspension bridge in the world to date (Hongkong's own Tsing Ma Bridge is 5th, and the Golden Gate is 7th longest).
I love consumer electronics almost my whole life - since my first transistor radio at age 6. My hobbies included photography (and spending hours in the dark room afterwards) and high speed photography, audio and video editing, the sport of Fencing, DIY (Do-It-Yourself) around the house, fixing other people's computers, cooking, watching movies. I don't have the time these days for all of the hobbies, but I still stay in touch with some.
Friends who don't know me well tend to think I work in the IT industry because I fix and troubleshoot many people's computers and systems for them, some over the phone, but they get a shock when I tell them I received no education in that area - I was first trained as a Physicist, then as a CPA specialising in Insolvency/Liquidation (the UK version of Corporate Bankruptcy). I now work in the Finance Dept of the technology startup subsidiary of local utility group.
