I am a 41 year old, married, bleeding heart liberal...I wish Bill Clinton could run for president over and over again!!! (How many fans is that statement going to win me?) I am very opinionated but I will listen to your side of the story..even if you are wrong...I believe in a womans right to chose and a homosexuals right to live his/her life the way they want to. And yes, even marry and adopt children. I am proud to be from the South..but the Confederate flag has become a symbol for racists groups and I believe it should come down from all State houses in the South.***** UPDATE-AS OF 7/1/00 IT NO LONGER FLIES ATOP THE CAPITOL BUILDING IN SOUTH CAROLINA***** I know this angers many from the South..but it angered me to see it up there. Don't let this make you hate me. Otherwise I'm a very nice person.
Being a 'White Woman' from the South, I have to live with major stereotypes. And although I am proud to be a "Southern Belle", most, if not all, of those stereotypes are incorrect.
I do eat peaches and watermelon, fried chicken, okra and home grown tomato and Vidallia onion sandwichs. I love the slow living in the South. I can be a little bit of a "Redneck" when it comes to the Georgia Bulldogs and Nascar racing~~BUT~~I don't eat dirt, I wouldn't think of marrying my cousin, I don't live in a trailer, I have all my teeth, I graduated from High School, I don't use an out house and I am not particularly dainty, or fragile. I believed O.J. was innocent. And although I do like cheese, I have never liked heavy metal music. (Those last two were introduced to me by a member of Epinions. I had never heard of them before.) Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. ~~~(A pecan shell at that!)~~~
