I've only been a member here for a very short time and I'm already having fun! My husband has to drag me out of our "office" kicking and screaming because I live in here.I live in a house down in the rural Hickville of Maryland where you can hit Uncle Buck's liquor store drive-thru and pick yourself up some shotgun ammo with your six-pack. There's an Amish community down here too. It's kinda quirky. Doesn't feel possible that we only live about a 40 to 45-minute drive south from our nation's capital and Northern VA, and a 20 to 25-minute drive from Andrews AFB where the President flies out of. In fact, we've had AirForce One fly right over our heads at a such a low altitude that we can clearly read "AirForce One" on the side of the plane. Just a year-and-a-half ago, we were living in an apartment in crowded Northern VA just a 5-minute cruise down the highway from the Pentagon. It's been culture shock.
I'm just a homemaker in my early 30s, with no kiddies (but 2 kitties), and with half a college education that I'd like to complete someday if I can ever nail down my lot in life. Recently, I auditioned for a part in an independent film, and if I don't get it, I plan on trying for others. My husby is an engineer and works in the Submarine Warfare Division of a military laboratory in D.C.
I am a procrastinating, Type-B individual who enjoys working out at Gold's Gym 4 days a week; sewing; cooking; shopping; singing; and less frequently, gardening, photographing odd and cool-looking creatures in our forested yard, horsebackriding, reading, biking, and art.
I much enjoy writing reviews here at Epinions and sure look forward to improving on them and making them the most helpful that I can. Any constructive criticism and/or advice, as well as telling me what I'm doing right and well, is always welcome. I'm happy to be here!
