About Giggles14227

I am a 23 year old from Buffalo, NY. I have a dream of using my writing talent to write feature articles, humor columns, music reviews, etc. for a magazine or newspaper someday. The sooner an opportunity comes along, the better. I have the desire to be the female version of Andy Rooney or Dave Barry. If you know of any job opportunities that are involved with media in the Western New York area, please contact me at my email address. I would love to pursue my dreams. How can I get the experience if no one gives me a chance? That's the problem I have observed with many employers. They want employees and want them to be successful, but they aren't willing to have enthusiastic people like me trained for positions. How is one to get anywhere if practically every employer only wants to hire the boring guy/gal with the college degree but no enthusiasm. It seems to me that if you don't have that four year degree, the high paying folks don't want you. Well, I know people with degrees that they don't want either. The New York State job world stinks. What's a degree if you can't use it? Besides, my feelings are, you don't really learn anything about the job you want in college anyway. You can't learn a job until you're hired. Man, I could've written an opinion on employers of today. I think employers need to lighten up a little. Well, enough about that. Too much wasted space. Anyways, I only have some college under my belt. And you know what? It's not a sin. There's nothing wrong with that. I like to be different from everyone else. I want to experience everything I can, and I didn't want to waste four years and thousands of dollars to have a form letter sent in the mail saying, "Sorry, the position has been filled by another candidate. Thank you for your time." Then you see a help wanted ad run in the paper again 2 weeks later. That was obviously a crock. They just wanted to screw over the obviously qualified individual! Well, thanks a lot! Who do some (not all!) of these employers think they're going to hire? Einstein? Well, good luck finding him. He passed many years ago. Keep trying. In the meantime, enjoy spending extra hours and aggravation of being shorthanded in the work place. Enough said about that.
I currently have a job working for the state of New York.
I also love to meet new people and making others laugh! So, how about reading a couple of my opinions? I'd appreciate it! After all,my local economy hasn't done much for me lately!
