About guldsmed

As you already read in the short biography, I like reading and I read a lot on various subjects, both because of my job (I'm a translator, so I happen to deal with several different subjects) and just because I like it. My favourite books, however, are travel books and, at times, all of those books that manage to "make you enter a different world". I especially like books because they let me keep in touch with different ways of living, that I may have experienced while travelling or that are totally new to me, but can be interesting anyways.
I'm not just brains, though, and as you might have already noticed from my reviews, I like cooking (and eating). I started cooking quite late, but I developed a real passion for it and I like experimenting. I am also a gadget freak and spend hours browsing through the housware aisle of supermarkets.
I like photography and sometimes I even manage to take very good ones, ones that I'm really happy about. Most of the times they are just average photos of good memories.
I also like sports, I practise judo and ju jitsu during the winter, but I also like in-line skating and badminton. I prefer practising rather than watching, so I cannot seat watching any game for a long time.
Since I mostly work form home I really enjoy going out with my friends, go to the pub, to the cinema, just hang around and have a laugh!
You will find I review mostly books. Living in Italy, I don't know many of the everyday products featured on the site, but I can buy English and American books here!
