I'm a 34-year-old married mother of two. This means I invariably have either a toddler clipped to my shin or a 7-year-old tugging on my sleeve.
I peddle my writing as a freelance author for parenting magazines and Web sites. I have been published in Catholic Parent and Northwest Baby & Child, to name a couple.
I also work half-time in public relations for a mid-sized city, volunteer for the American Cancer Society, help my daughter with her gymnastics, swimming lessons and Brownies, am a pretty fair church goer, like to bike ride and run and invariably fall into bed at the end of the night, exhausted but content.
On a more personal note, I'd rather be a window than a door. I'd rather be a kind person than have a big name. I'd rather do than have. I'd rather show you my flaws than try to maintain an unreal image.
